Wilkesia

Wilkesia is a genus of plants in the tribe Madieae within the family Asteraceae.Gray, Asa. 1852. Proceedings of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences 2: 160 The International Plant Names Index It contains two Perennial plant, both of which are Endemism to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. Wilkesia is a component of the silversword alliance and is named after Captain Charles Wilkes.
