In Greek mythology, Polynoe () was one of the 50 Nereids, marine-nymph daughters of the 'Old Man of the Sea' Nereus and the Oceanids Doris.[Hesiod, Theogony 258] Her name means 'giver of reason' or 'richness of mind, thoughtful'.
