Otelfingen is a municipality in the district of Dielsdorf in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. The centre of the village, with its typical Timber framing, is listed in the Federal Inventory of Swiss Sites of National Importance (ISOS)
The majority of the municipality is the village of Otelfingen, a Haufendorf (an irregular, unplanned and quite closely packed village, built around a central square) located in the Furttal on the border with the Canton of Aargau.
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 41.9% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SPS (15.9%), the FDP (12.6%) and the CSP (10.8%).
The age distribution of the population () is children and teenagers (0–19 years old) make up 24.6% of the population, while adults (20–64 years old) make up 65.4% and seniors (over 64 years old) make up 10%. In Otelfingen about 80.7% of the population (between age 25-64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either university or a Fachhochschule).
