Lubomierz is a town in Lwówek Śląski County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Lubomierz.
As of 2019, the town has a population of 1,979.
History
It was granted
town rights by Duke Bolko I the Strict in 1291, when it was part of fragmented
Piast dynasty-ruled Poland.
Defensive town walls were built that same year.
It was a private church town of the monastery of the Benedictine nuns until
secularization in 1810.
