Girellidae

Girellidae is a family of ray-finned fish in the order Centrarchiformes. They may be referred to as nibblers.Johnson, G. D. and R. A. Fritzsche. 1989. Graus nigra, an omnivorous girellid, with a comparative osteology and comments on relationships of the Girellidae. Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia 141: 1-27.
