Galanga is a monotypic taxon genus of cicadas in the family Cicadidae, subfamily Cicadettinae and tribe Cicadettini. It was described in 2012 by Australian entomology Maxwell Sydney Moulds. The single species occurs in subtropics and warm temperate eastern Australia.
Etymology
