Fanas is a village in the Prättigau and a former municipality in the political district of Prättigau/Davos in the canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2011 Fanas and were merged with the municipality of Grüsch.


History
Fanas is first mentioned in second half of the 12th Century as Phanaunes.


Geography
Fanas has an area, , of . Of this area, 45% is used for agricultural purposes, while 36.8% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (17.5%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).

The municipality is located in the Seewis sub-district of the Prättigau/Davos district on a terrace between Grüsch and . It consists of the of Fanas.
