Cornalon (Irish derived place name Corr na Lon, meaning ‘Round Hill of the Blackbirds’) is a townland in the civil parish of Kinawley, barony of Tullyhaw, County Cavan, Ireland.
The townland then formed part of the Crofton estate until the late 19th century. The Crofton Estate papers are in the National Library of Ireland, MS 20,773-20,806 & D 26,886-27,010.
The 1821 Census of Ireland spells the name as Cornalun and states- containing 70 acres arable land & 5 acres bog. Ireland census National Archives
