Petropoulos sought to describe the art of anti-poetry in his Berlin notebook, containing verses that included intentionally-made mistakes of prosody, grammar, and rhyme. Contemporary examples include "The Brash and Plum" (2025), which employs fragmented language, deliberate anti-lyricism, and conversational deflation of traditional poetic subjects.Chidester, Ashlan. the brash and plum.
