JW., the Blacktail beacon N. N. E. E., 2J miles, and the buoy of the Monte nearly E.N.E. distant 3 miles; from this to the buoy on the east end, the sand extends 4J miles, having over it 6, 9, and in some places 12 feet water. The cast buov of the Oaze is white. No 20, and lies in 3 fathoms; from it the buoy of the MOUSE bears N.W. byN. 1J mile. Minster-chureh W. J S., the Shoe beacon N. E. by N. 4J miles, the lilachtailbeecon N. W. by W. 4 miles, the Nob-buoy S. E. by E. 1 J, and the East Shieering-buoy S. E. by S. 2$ miles. If your ship be large, and the wind westerly, it will be advisable to weigh at halfflood, and leave this buoy to the starboard, and steer past the red buoy on the Aob, S. E. byS., orS.S. E. according to wind and tide, for the Shieering-sand buoy; between these buoys are 6 and 7 fathoms. From the Shieering-sand buoy to that on the Cirdler, steer S S W. with an ebb, and S. W. by S. with a flood-tide. In this channel are from 6 to 9 fathoms. But observe, that from the Shieering-sand buoy throngh the Nob cfiannel and over the Flats, you have a beam-tide, for which you must make allowance, according to the wind and veloeity of the stream. There is good anchorage between the buoy of the Nob and the Shieering, in 7 or 0 fathoms. Vetselt tailmg from the Nore to the OAZE CHANNEL, will steer K. S. E. passing the white buoy of the Cant and the red buoy of the Oaze, both of which have already Men deseribed; they will leave the former to the starboard and the latter to the larboard, and proceeding throngh the Oase-Channel, an E. by S course will carry iheui to the East SIiieering-buoy, they will then reach the Nob-Channel. Iu this passage you will have the Oase-sand ou the one side, and the Spile, Red, and Shieering...
