The proposed is a planned follow on to the author's best selling book, Principles of Combustion, 2E published in 2005.  The book will cover advanced topics of combustion and flame that are not covered anywhere else.  Kuo will provide a multi-phase systems approach beginning with more common topics and moving to higher level applications such as reacting boundary layer flows, ignition of homogeneous mixtures, flame extinction phenomena, detonation processes in condensed phase materials.  As with his other book there will be large numbers of examples and problems and a solutions manual will be provided.
