If you are into nostalgia and have an interest in reading books written in an archaic form, then this book is for you. If you are simply trying to learn about the history of brewing then you might want to look towards more modern books. I found this book to be a very hard read which makes any relevant information it may contain difficult to digest. I do not doubt the importance of this work to the study of brewing. But after 100 years there has to be better resources on the subject than this book.
