This deadbolt is nicely made and matches other Baldwin Venetian Bronze hardware nicely except for one thing. The SmartKey system, uses a KW1 (Kwikset) keyway. That means that if you have other existing residential Baldwin locks, which generally use a SC1 (Schlage) keyway, you'll end up with two keys to operate all of your locks. Apart from that, this is nice hardware, solidly made and the SmartKey system is quite convenient and as secure as a conventional five pin ..
