Good solid product, a absolute must if you are in the military and staioned overseas. Nintendo is awesome for having the foresight to make their gaming systems power supply on the OUTSIDE of the system rather than built in like the PS3 or Xbox (no power transformer yay!).
I gave this to my nephew with his Wii as he is using it in a country with 220V outlets. So far it's doing fine for the last 2 months and has prevented our Wii system from burning out, as was the case with several others who plugged in the Wii directly into a 220V outlet. Although not as good as the original it seemed solid enough to last some time. For a foreign outlet, an adapter plug is needed to use it but not a voltage converter as this cord does the trick. We have a Wii from the US and moved to Australia. With the differences in electricity voltages between the countries we needed to step down the voltage in order to run the Wii safely in Australia.
