It downmixes multi-channel digital audio to 2.1 channels, and evens out the volume between different sources and program materials.The GefenTV 2.1 Audio Amplifier w/ Volume Stabilizer is well-suited for use in home entertainment systems, offices, or meeting rooms. It features three audio inputs (TOSLINK , S/PDIF, Analog L/R) for accommodating multiple audio sources. This product also incorporates a Dolby Digital decoder to downmix 7.1 or 5.1 channels of audio to 2.1 channels. Dolby Volume technology automatically outputs consistent audio levels regardless of the broadcast program type (commercials, movies, or TV shows). The GefenTV 2.1 Audio Amplifier w/ Volume Stabilizer provides amplification of up to 50 Watts per channel through the unit?s speaker outputs, a line-level output for a powered subwoofer, plus additional line-level main L/R outputs. An RS-232 port is provided for automation. For easy access and control, use the front panel control buttons with an illuminated LCD display, or the included IR remote control.
