The puzzle is pretty enough and the pieces are good quality but I’m not too pleased with out the sound functions work. The board will read a letter when the light sensor under the letter is blocked. The flaw in this design is that it will read out the wrong letters as your hand goes to put the piece in the right spot. A shadow of your hand causes pieces to trigger. Also it seems to need more light to work than my house has at night and it’s not at all dim in he..
The sounds and colors are engaging. My kid really enjoys it. As stated in previous reviews, the drawbacks include the sounds coming out of nowhere even when no one is playing it like a haunted item. Then the sounds do not consistently read out when you put the correct letter in the slot - if I put in the letter A cutout, it will sometimes read A is for apple but at times, it doesn't respond!!!
