We bought this as a tool for adding crane and pan shots to our corporate videos. The crane works very well. We attached our Panasonic AGHMC40 camera (two pounds) to it and counterweighted it with five, five-pound weights placed in the second hole and achieved an almost perfect balance. The jib/crane comes with three spaced holes at the back end of the crane so that weights can be moved around to balance the camera. Perfect! A real high quality product. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the "manual" which was just a cheap single page photocopy and not very clear. But luckily it isn't hard to figure out how it all goes together. One great thing about this jib, which is not explained anywhere, is that you can choose whether to use both extension arms, or to just use one set. This allows the jib to be 6' or 12', at your choice. Nice! The manual, and the company web site, does not give any indication ..
