This backpack will withstand through it all. It's very well made and I doubt there will be any rips or tearing for a very long time. This is the smaller of the herschel backpack sizes, but it's perfect. It can easily fit any binder or notebook and still carry your laptop in the back pocket. It's a great size for the amount it's able to hold. The look is classic and very in-style right now. I can't wait to take this to college
