This video is divided into three parts. Part One is a narrated training film titled "Replenishing At Sea." Produced by the Navy in 1948, the film documents the type of replenishment ships, the techniques employed and equipment used to transfer cargo from one ship to another. Part Two includes excellent scenes from replenishments conducted during WWII, the Korean War and replenishments of the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean during the 1960s. This part has captions with a music soundtrack. Part Three examines replenishment during the Vietnam War. This part includes the Navy- produced video titled "Beans, Bullets & Black Oil." It documents the role played by Service Group 3 in Vietnam. This part also includes additional film footage of outstanding scenes from replenishments conducted with ships off the coast of Vietnam.
