The Encore N300 has excellent signal transmission and reception. The 5db high gain antennae are well worth the cost. I use it with a short USB extension, because it otherwise partially covers adjacent USB ports. The downside comes from those large, high gain antennae. They are delicate. If even one breaks, the adapter is useless. (Bought two, lost one.)
