I picked up the Firefield Shotgun Flashlight to mount on my 8-shot Rem 870. I was hoping to mount the light at the 6 o'clock position. Unfortunately the design of the clamp did not allow it to fit between the barrel and the magazine tube in the 6 o'clock, nor could I fit on half of the clamp between the tube & barrel to be able to mount at the 3 or 9 o'clock positions without removing the barrel clamp first. Because of the 8 shot tube & 20 inch barrel, mounting the light forward of the clamp puts the fla..
The light is very bright but the mount is very cheap. Good for airsoft but not for a higher powered Rifle or shot gun. I am using this with a Mossberg 500 so ordered the browning mount, which are considered the best tactical light mounts for shotguns. This light is a bit larger in diameter then standard for 1 inch tactical lights, as a result It did not fit.I would recommend this for an airsoft shotgun but would not buy it again for a real shot gun.
This is a great little investment. The price is good, the reliability very good. The touch pad is sensitive enough to not require distracting amounts of tension in the finger. It seems to be just enough in lumens rating to provide the necessary light in the confines of a home, but not for more, which is what I wanted.
