CIRCUS MAXIMUS NINE Circus Maximus is a superbly talented Progressive Metal band from Norway who are making a return with their third studio album Nine . Drawing influences from such bands as Symphony X, Jorn Lande, TNT, Kamelot, Dream Theater, Pretty Maids and Queensryche, CM managed to create a sound which is very much their own. The band has a wide variety of musical influences, from pop/rock to AOR to 70's Prog-Rock to Heavy and Death metal, all of which is melted togetherand give the guys their unique sound. The melting pot creates a mixture of great melodies, groove, heavy riffs and odd time signatures. Stellar musicianship, amazing vocals (singer Michael Eriksen stepped in for a few live dates for Roy Khan of Kamelot), excellent production and top notch melodies and songwriting can all be found in CM music and certainly their new album does not disappoint their legions of fans.
