CableIQ TesterView larger Bandwidth Qualification When you deploy Voice over IP (VoIP) or Gigabit Ethernet, you want to make sure that the existing cabling will support the bandwidth requirements of your new equipment. Your cabling was certified, but moves adds and changes have rendered many links incapable of running desired speeds. CableIQ quickly reveals whether a link, including patch cords, is qualified for voice, 10/100BASE-T, VoIP, or Gig. Knowing your cabling's bandwidth capabilities before upgrading can prevent countless hours of future downtime and labor hours wasted on unnecessary troubleshooting. Cable Troubleshooting Plug into any cable, patch panel, or wall jack and see both the cable details (length/wiremap) and far-end device details (speed/duplex settings) at once. A series of both cable and network test functions help you isolate connectivity problems. For instance, if Discover mode shows duplex settings are matched but the problem persists, run Autotest to see if the cabling can support the required bandwidth. If a link is not qualified, CableIQ provides detailed information on the nature and location of cabling performance faults such as crosstalk or large impedance changes. With CableIQ your techs can close trouble tickets faster by cutting cable troubleshooting time in half. NetTool Series II Inline VoIP Network Tester The NetTool Series II inline VoIP network tester isolates and diagnoses network device and application connectivity issues, troubleshoots gigabit-to-the-desk deployments with dual 10, 100, and 1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces. The tester detects and flags unexpected ports and network traffic to identify suspicious activity caused by spyware, malware, and viruses. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) measures current and voltage and displays pair information either in-line or single-ended. The VoIP functionality monitors IP phone boot-up and VoIP conversations, and measures key call quality metrics including jitter and dropped packets. The tester qualifies links for VoIP during pre-deployment assessments. Wiremap functionality verifies that cables are installed correctly and displays distance to faults. The meter is powered by four AA alkaline batteries (included). IntelliTone Pro 200 Probe The IntelliTone Pro 200 probe detects IntelliTone digital signals, rejecting noise and false signals, to locate and trace data cabling on active networks. It detects 500 to 1,200 Hz analog signals to isolate individual wire pairs and trace voice, audio, and video cabling on non-active networks. The probe detects signals at cable racks, in patch panels, and even behind walls, and identifies detected signals audibly and with eight LEDs that light successively as the signal strength increases for prompt isolation of a single cable within a bundle. A sync LED shows battery strength at power-up and confirms reception of IntelliTone signals, and the cable map function allows the probe to validate the cable map on RJ11 and RJ45 connectors, testing continuity and finding shorts, opens, and crossed-pair wiring faults on all four pairs of UTP and STP twisted pair cabling. RJ11 and RJ45 jacks plug into a port on the bottom of the probe. The probe turns off automatically after one hour of inactivity.
