It should be fairly obvious that this knife will probably not often be strapped to one's leg during a hunt or hike, hacking bamboo, chopping through brush or skinning a mule deer. Not that the knife couldn't handle that, it probably could (with some work on the edge, see below). But I have knives for rough use and knives that are more show pieces, and this one falls into the latter category, as I intended it. That being said, it excels in that respect.
