I needed a compact desktop style amplifier for the bedroom system and a few options surfaces. Grace, NAD 3020d, Audio Engine, Emotiva, and finally the Omni A1. The Audio Engine N22 and Emotiva Mini-x were out since they did not have a way of controllling volume remotely.
