I had purchased the 280NCP at the recommendation of our trainer for our Australian Shepherd. We used it for 6 weeks and loved it. Once we were "all" trained on how to use it, we saw amazing results. I was not happy about spending ANOTHER $230 on a collar, and came across this IQ by Dogtra. A few of the features that I did ..
I ordered a pet smart electronic collar for smaller dogs with 100 yard range. I used it for one day and it quit working. I sent it back and did some more research and found Dogtra. I got the new IQ collar that is made for smaller dogs. This collar is ten times the collar of that pet smart. In the long run I will save money because it is RECHARGEABLE unlike the pet smart. It isn't worth buying one that isn't. Anyway, all the electronic collars you will find when you search for them are the mainstream ..
My dog is crazy fast (part italian greyhound). When she takes off all she is thinking about is running. She doesn't hear me, even if that means she is heading toward a road. This collar helps me get her attention and keep her safe. Worth every penny. No complaints at all. I love the size. I think this is the best, quality collar you can get for a smaller dog. I usually only have to use the pager and I have her attention. For people out there who think these collars are inhumane...I've tried out every level ..
