Always hand wash your crystal in warm water with a mild liquid detergent, and hand dry with a soft cloth to prevent spotting. Do not subject crystal to hot water or to abrasive detergents. To prevent chipping and scratching crystal when washing, remove rings, and line the bottom of the sink with a towel or rubber mat. Crystal should not be subjected to sudden changes in temperature, which may cause breakage. Do not pour cold beverages into a pitcher that's just been washed with warm water. To insure that your crystal maintains its brilliance, add some vinegar to the water when hand washing. Avoid storing beverages in crystal containers for extended periods of time.
