College student Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) witnesses the gruesome deaths of two of her friends just days apart and realises a disturbing and terrifying connection between the victims; a chilling voicemail message of the sound of their own deaths received a matter of days before they died.When Beth speaks out the police think she's delusional - except for Detective Jack Andrews (Ed Burns) whose own sister was killed under strangely similar circumstances. Together Jack and Beth work feverishly to unravel the mystery behind the ominous calls.
