it's exactly what it says: a spear-point knife that can be threaded onto a pole. due to its shape, though, it's not very useful as a knife.the blade is low-quality steel, rather dull out of the box. the finish chips off easily. there's a single weld holding the blade to the screwcap which has "failure" written all over it -- but don't worry, the threaded broomhandle you're using will break before the blade comes loose.the shape is wrong for a survival situation -- one good stab and it'll be stuck thanks ..
I put this spear head on a new metal broom handle. The threading was extremely tight, making it difficult to twist on. I have owned this knife for about two years and have been very happy with it. When used as a spear it works great. I have went through several cheap shafts, but the blade has held strong. I haven't had any problems with chipping or bending which is often a problem with knives meant for throwing and sticking. The reason for four stars and not five is the cheap handle that comes with it. I only use it when storing the knife to keep the inside of it protected.
