This is a good little pump for the money not the best or the fastest. It will get the job done. Does not pump as fast as said it would ie gal per hour but drained a pool of over 3000 gal. in less than 10hrs.
I bought 3 of these pumps for my basement this winter when we had some flooding. These 3 pumps ran non stop from Christmas to March until I could get a drain system/sump pump put in. They ran 24 hours a day and only one stopped working in March after I dropped it from about 3ft while it was running (and had been for the pass 3months). They work great. As I said in the title; "Great pump for the price".I already have an Ace hardware utility pump 1/6 hp that cost me $30 more than this one. This pump is truly, "Superior" (Pardon the pun). I only used it once so far to assist in removing the remnants of Hurricane Irene from my basement. It really pumps well, even through a 50' 5/8" garden hose with a 6' rise out of the basement.So far it appears to be somewhat stronger than the Ace pump.
