Puzzle pieces are cut to enable you to get a lot of successes, even with the 1000 piece sets. I've worked with some 1000-pc puzzles where it took forever to just find a few matching pieces. These puzzles are well made to challenge you but to also give you a lot of successes. They're fun and they're made in the USA. White Mountain is certainly one of the better jigsaw puzzle makers out there.
