I bought this to communicate with my 99 Honda Civic and it did just that. It can read and erase the check engine light and monitor live data. In Canada the absolute cheapest you can scan your car for is 60$ so for me this tool has paid for itself. Overall great product would definetly recomend for home mechanic.
The scanner is easy to use. Ordered this item yesterday and received it today...one day shipping. My 2001 Jeep Cherokee check engine light came on three days ago. I connected this scanner, followed the instructions and it found one error code. I selected "Read Codes" from the drop-down menu and it read as a slow emission leak.
