The tracks covered range from glam rock (Queen's 'Best Friend') to Mod Rock (The Jam's 'Art School'), with plenty of Hard Rock and even Divine's "Female Trouble" thrown in for good measure. Everybody Loves Sausage also features several guest musicians like Mudhoney's Mark Arm and Neurosis' Scott Kelly, as well as some tracks recorded by the Melvins Lite lineup of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover, and Trevor Dunn.
Ah, I guess they didn't have room for the Butthole Surfers "Graveyard" cover they've performed on their 30th Aniv. tour. Still, not a "major" album, but a load of fun nonetheless. They could've called this one The Crybaby 2, hey, very good things came out of THOSE collaborations! The Venom cover rocks (of course) but the standout is Bowie cover "Station to Station". I know some of these terms are obsolete, but at my local pub, they have one..
Covers, highlights are Station to Station with JG.Thirlwell and In Every Dreamhome a Heartache with Jello Biafra doing a slight vibrato. All the songs are great. Some are great fun, and others are interesting because of the choice of song. Melvins are the tactless taste makers of modern rock.
