I bought this kit as I began my foray into wet shaving. I'll review each component separately.The pre-shave oil is nice, and has a nice feel on the skin, but I'm not convinced it does much to help the blade move over the skin or through the hair.The shave lotion is subpar. It doesn't produce as rich a lather as the Proraso cream that I switched to. I also much prefer the menthol addition in the Proraso cream that gives me that tingly sensation.The brush is terrible. I already use Art of Shaving pre-shave oil, shaving cream, and their upper end badger brush. I have always liked these and especially in the lavender scent. Lavender is so calming and girls always comment on the smell. The pre-shave oil is were it is at especially if you get razor burn easily.I bought these for groomsmen's gifts with a dopp bag. I loved the scent of this. But when I opened it...I thought elves have made it a little early for christmas. I admired the gentle design. I tried it, and loved it. The shaving cream goes on smooth. It really helps to get an "effortless glide" when swiping the razor. That is...the highlight. It lets you know you got a quality product on your hand, or face.
