First time on CD for this 1978 album from the Jazz outfit. Matrix was a unique Jazz Fusion band who issued two highly regarded albums in the late 1970s/early '80s on Warner Brothers Records. Seven tracks. Wounded Bird.
I saw these guys at a local community college back in '78. By then, I owned everything they had released. Their performance kept me a fan and I bought everything they released after that year. I just wish the RCA label record they released first would come out on CD--and the later Pablo stuff too for that matter.If you have any appreciation for '70s fusion, I highly recommend this disc. Very tasty musicianship and imaginative use of synths.Good listening to you--David
