Having only seen the Defender case in person, I was afraid that the Commuter would also be too large. But that is not the "case". The commuter feels almost identical in size to the terrible silicone case I got from Verizon when I purchased my phone. I received this new case yesterday after a week of nail biting time when I was using my NEW Galaxy Nexus(GN) without any case on it. I previously had a pretty cheap soft case for my Galaxy Nexus, but it wasn't particularly confidence inspiring and gave the phone a generic, subdued look.
