I bought this last year because there was not a good explaination of the game on the box. Was sorely disappointed, and gave it to a friend with very yound kids. Unless they're just old enough to play video games I would recommend this game.
This game is a perfect gift or "stocking stuffer" for kids. Say what you want, but for the price, you can't beat it - the game alone is worth the price, but the plush can almost be considered "free", and is worth twice that in play time. I gave this to both of my nieces (avid casual gamers) and they played the game as long as they usually play games (a good value), but they STILL have the plush to play with and watched the movie this season and pulled them out! Unbeatable deal!
