The function of this opener is counter intuitive.Guest sometimes require training.The bottle is put in vertically, and pulled up.(most american standard go in horizontal and pull down to open)But that seems to make it all the more fun.And UCLA Alum love the bear motif.
I have to wonder about this product, like maybe there are slight (but horribly significant) inconsistencies in production. This looks incredibly cool on my pergola, but is nearly useless in it's primary function. I've had this for over a year, and have grown to hate it, as it seems to have become even harder to produce an open bottle with (maybe the metal is too soft?). It's become almost impossible to even get the jaws to engage the cap (they just slip off), and other reviewers are correct: if you hook it ..
