I don't believe this is a genuine CHI. I owned my last CHI for years and loved it. This one doesn't work! It heats up sometimes and is "warm" most of the time. I would NOT buy this product. I wish I could get my money back.
I've seen a couple of reviews out here warning about fakes, I bought this one from Amazon.com and it said shipped and sold from Amazon. When I took it out of the box it had the GFCI and the warnings engraved in the plastic, had several warnings on the plug and the normal sticker on the cord.
