I have burned hundreds of BD-R's and have always sworn by Verbatim. When burning these I had a 99% success rate. I always test them after burning and they've always been flawless. Then I started having read errors with discs that I burned a year or so ago. Discs that played fine, before. I started testing others that were a year or more old. The Disc ID on these discs is VERBAT-IMe-000. That means Verbatim themselves actually made these discs. They did NOT farm these out to CMC, the worst optical media manufacturer. Verbatim often farms out to CMC. Their CD-R's, their Life series DVD-R and DVD R, and their BD-RE are CMC. CMC DVD recordable media fail to burn 50% of the time.
