I've had the Synology up and running for about 2 months and I'm still not done configuring all the options - there are a lot. But then there is a LOT you can do with this device and Synology software. I probably have a total of 8 hours into it.My advice is to take your time. The new DSM 5.0 is a huge improvement. Unfortunately, right after update, it failed one my HDD. Here is where Synology's ugly side comes in. After 30 minute wait Mr. Support guy comes in and start to rattle off steps without working through the issues. Their support is minimal.
