Devised by Dixon of Dock Green creator Ted Willis this richly atmospheric and meticulously researched police drama features Z Cars star John Barrie as the eponymous detective and William Gaunt (The Champions) as Marriott. A significant success for ATV during its five year run this set comprises the eight episodes which formed its second transmitted series. Some of the episodes on this set were previously thought lost from the archive but were found whilst researching this release.
