England 1942 What would make Liz Grainger a mother with a five year-old daughter leave her comfortable life in Devon to be an operative for Britain's secret service? Trained by the Special Operation Executive she becomes a spy placed into French territories and her life becomes one of imminent danger as the fear of capture and death follows hard on her heels. Series One (Discs 1 and 2): Liz Grainger joins the SOE and is put into occupied France along with her fellow operative Matty Firman. Though trained nothing can prepare them for life in a country under military occupation. Series 2 (Discs 3 and 4): It's now Autumn 1943 and three SOE operatives in France are caught and shot by Germans. It is imperative they are replaced as quickly as possible and new recruits are scheduled to go through rigorous training. Series Three (Discs 5 and 6): The allies are gearing up for an invasion of France. A vital role will be played by the SOE agents operating behind enemy lines.
