Brazilian singer-guitarist-actress-author Mônica Passos was adopted by France twenty years ago. Her style mixes bossa nova with Brazilian folk, jazz and pop. On Lemniscate, she presents her own sensual, jazzy, irreverent versions of an eclectic selection of her own compositions and material from Leo Ferré, Duke Ellington, Tom Jobim, Moustaki, Bizet, Lully and even Jim Morrison s Riders on the Storm.
