Rise of the Guardians: The Video Game is the eagerly anticipated action-adventure game developed by Torus Games and published by D3 Publisher based on the DreamWorks Animation motion picture of the same name. The game features five classic childhood legends as you’ve never seen them before and the dangers they face as they team up to take on a common enemy. The story revolves around the four iconic characters known as the Guardians: Santa Claus (North) the Easter Bunny (Bunnymund) the Tooth Fairy (Tooth) and Sandman as well as Jack Frost and the Boogeyman; an evil spirit called Pitch the Nightmare King who is stealing the teeth of children the world over. The teeth contain the beliefs these children have in these childhood legends which in turn makes them weaker as children stop believing in them. As Pitch has started to attack the children’s belief the Guardians enlist Jack Frost’s help who before now has remained completely neutral to the actions of good and evil. Play as one of the four classic childhood heroes North Bunnymund Tooth and Sandman all of whom possess immortality as well as magical powers and abilities we’d never dreamed of. Each character has three special and unique combat moves such as a snowball attack the ability to summon a swarm of mini tooth fairies and more. When Pitch throws swarms of nightmare creatures at your character and their fellow Guardians you will be able to unleash team attacks with the help and abilities of your fellow heroes and emerge victorious from every battle. Alongside this the Guardians also have their own set of upgradable extraordinary abilities as Rise of the Guardians features a fully fledged upgrade system for your character to be upgraded in various areas. As you play through the game you will be able to unlock new powers power-ups such as weapon upgrades and special moves that will increase your Guardian’s strength and skills throughout the game. You will be able to explore the imaginative and wonderful realms of each of the Guardians ranging from and including Tooth’s Palace North’s Workshop and Bunnymund’s Warren amongst others. Rise of the Guardians will also feature a wide variety of original creatures specifically designed for each Guardian’s Realm that don’t appear in the film adding more variety to the game. Another feature that will add variety to the gameplay is the drop in drop out multiplayer which supports up to four players per console.
