I use these due to the convenient 17mm nut on the end for installation and removal, although the filtering specs aren't nearly as good as the OEM filter. A word of caution -- this filter is easy to overtighten -- just today I tried to remove it from from my 2010 Road King and it wouldn't budge. I generally have never had issues with K&N quality. The last time I purchased one, the nut on the end was not of any particular size. I tried every American and metric size on either side of the as advertised 17mm as well and none would get a hold of it well enough to loosen the previously installed hand seated plus 1/4 turn K&N filter.
