This mount works perfectly with my Garmin Montana. I mounted it on a RAM mount for the Zumo 660, and took it on a 10,000 mile trip. Never had an issue. I have it wired into my electrical system and that works just fine. This is a strong and durable piece of kit which will hold your GPS securely.
I got this mount to use the new Montana on a dual-sport motorcycle. Like the Zumo I have on another bike, the Montana with topo maps installed is indispensable for exploring. The mount is rugged and widely adjustable to accomodate a variety of mounting positions and bar sizes. Theres not much to say except it is constructed well. I did drop my unit off my motorcycle the first day because I didn't use the locking screw. Although the screw isn't meant for theft deterrence it is complicating enough to hold away curious would be thieves.The contacts are easy to clean. I have tried the headphone connection and I also tried it with a Bluetooth adapter. It is rugged enough for adventure motorcycling.
