I have several of the Stainless key racks. Makes for a very flexible system. I can swap car keys, house, and mailbox keys, trailer keys, bike rack and Thule box keys around quickly. Keys detach easily enough, but I haven't haven't had any problems with them coming loose on their own.The stainless steel version is stronger, more secure, and looks and feels better than the plastic model. Get the steel version.You can buy larger S-hooks from Nite-Ize for bulky keys, or more of the small ones as needed.
I have always carried 2 sets of keys. House keys and misc on one key loop with a carabineer and my car keys separate (I hate the dangling keys from the ignition.) The carbineer worked, but wasn't functional enough to swap out keys on the fly. I also had a separate carabineer for work keys, but I use the Key Rack to consolidate.
