On January 19th 2010, an Emirates' A380 became the 6000th Airbus aircraft and a manufacturing milestone in the Airbus' 40 year history. The A380 was handed over to Emirates Airline in a ceremony in Hamburg. It is Emirates' eighth A380 and Emirates is the single largest customer for the A380.
