Have this card attached to a WINDOWS 7 MEDIA-CENTER and we can watch DVDs and even stream HuluDesktop and Netflix both HD and it looks good and for the price i so surprised and Pleased! Doubt this would be good for games and the fan was small but the hdmi allows the sound to transmit to the tv add a 14$ remote and Tv tuner card u have a lower cost cable tv setup that is all the dvr space you add only limits are your hard drive budget we have 10 T of space on ours ..
I have a media computer in my living room that I have connected to my 73" DLP.Great for surfing the Net and streaming movies (no more cable bill).I had an older TV prior to the 73" which didn't have an HDMI port. Getting the new TV forced me to buy this card as I wanted to use HDMI port from the 73". Unfortunately the MOBO on the computer didn't have an HDMI port.This little card did just the trick and works perfectly! Granted I don't use it for any games whatsoe..
